Data Analytics in Gojek, Projects, and COVID-19
This is a reflection of my journey for this week, where one by one my family members got affected by COVID-19 and how I handled it. To be honest, it’s been a really difficult week, where it started with my father, my mother, and my brother leaving me with my youngest brother alone. I have to take care of the house, my brother, prepare the food, feed all four of my cats, and other household things to prepare me to become a ‘house husband’.
So how did I handle this week with me having to work as well as going to Gojek classes?
The answer, I didn’t.
I only took 2 out of 3 classes, and I didn’t attend the class with XL Future Leaders because I have to take care of my family by going to the hotel where they isolate themselves, take my little brother to take his COVID-19 tests, and much more things that made me miss out on the classes.
So what can I do to reflect on it?
How much did I know about the course materials beforehand?
I know quite a decent amount. I was a part of Google’s Bangkit Program in Machine Learning as well as a laboratory assistant for Quantitative Modelling and Industrial Policy Analysis where I help teach students Industrial Statistics as well as preparing an analysis for different cases, so it does fit with this week’s module.
How do I feel about the discussions and class overall?
As mentioned before, I can only speak for the first two classes because that’s the only ones I attended this week. We learned about the different terms in statistics, as well as how to use each tests and study cases. However, something that I need to emphasize is that I feel that the quality of discussions has gone up significantly better than the previous week. The class is more conducive and is more enjoyable.
How can I use this knowledge in future work?
I’ve already used this knowledge in my current work, so I can’t say much about it. What I can say though is that I can’t wait for the next module since I don’t know much about it!
This is a part of an assignment for Gojek’s Generasi Gigih Weekly Reflection.
